Talk to anyone who’s used First Nature Hummingbird Nectar Concentrate and they’ll tell you they won’t use anything else. Our Hummingbird Nectar Concentrate is a premium concentrated formula which contains sucrose, preferred by hummingbirds over monosaccharide glucose or fructose sugars.
Just add water. No sugar needed. Very easy to use. First Nature Nectar is a premium concentrate that ends the mess of feeding hummingbirds. No granulated sugars or dry mixes to spill, no boiling water, no sticky cleanup. Easy to use, and it really draws the birds!
Use First Nature Nectar with confidence. Scientific studies have repeatedly shown that hummingbirds prefer sucrose to the monosaccharide glucose or fructose. They exhibit extremely high intestinal sucrose hydrolysis, which simply mean their systems digest sucrose better than other types of sugars.
Knowing this, First Nature Nectar uses the finest food-grade sucrose and not less effective invert sugars found in other products. Plus, when our concentrated formula is mixed properly (25% concentrate to 75% water), the resulting sugar content is at the ideal mid-range point for those naturally occurring flower nectars preferred by hummingbirds.
So, not only is First Nature Nectar the easiest hummingbird food to use, it’s also the most healthy choice for your colorful visitors. You will be astounded at how hummingbirds respond! Low temperatures may cause crystallization. This will not affect solubility or quality of nectar. Special Note: Just like flower nectar, our First Nature Nectar undergoes a slow natural inversion of the disaccharide sugar which makes it even more appealing to hummingbirds.
Directions: Mix one part First Nature Concentrate to three parts water. The best way to do this is right in your hummingbird feeder. Fill the feeder one quarter full with concentrate, then add water to the top, and give a shake or stir. This concentrate bottle makes a full half gallon of nectar. Remember, one concentrate to three water. Store in a cool, dry place.
Ingredients: Sucrose, Potassium Sorbate (Preservative), FDA Red 40.
